GETTING YOUR HOUSE IN ORDER

Patrick Boylan

Project management is often about getting the right resources to work on the right tasks at the right time. This requires task prioritization. To prioritize tasks effectively I think you need to understand both the importance and the urgency of a task. To assess importance, ask yourself what the impact will be if the task is not done. To assess urgency, ask yourself what is the latest that the task can be done.
